Leaving aside the larger question of why one would want to go on Celebrity Rehab in the first place, the show's recent casting of D.C. Real Housewife Michaele Salahi raised the question: Was she even addicted to anything? A publicist for the infamous White House crasher suggested at the time that Salahi was "consulting with Dr. Drew and she hopes he will be able to assist her about everything she has endured over the last year"; meanwhile, husband Tareq couldn't come up with any actual addiction his wife was suffering from, unless you counted her love of chocolate. (And who wouldn't?) Alas, producers didn't bother to determine whether Salahi really needed rehab until she had already provided them with enough compelling drama for a gangbusters season premiere, and she's now been evicted from the facility for having no addiction in the first place. "You know, we can show you a bunch of emails about what they wanted her to pretend to be," Tarek told RadarOnline, "but that's going to come out later on with one of the major networks." Meanwhile, castmate Michael Lohan is fighting with his own family so that he can bring Rehab's cameras into the courtroom while daughter Lindsay deals with her necklace imbroglio, which suggests that if the show actually rehabbed these people's addiction to being celebrities, maybe everyone could win.
