Post-Skins, MTV Will Keep Adapting British Shows

MTV's British import Skins earned more headlines and protests than it did viewers when it premiered in January, but the network is unbowed: It just greenlit another across-the-pond remake of the British comedy Inbetweeners. (Whether Skins itself will get another season is yet to be determined.) That's just one of the pickups MTV announced today; others include Savage U, an advice show starring sex columnist Dan Savage, game shows The Substitute and Money From Strangers, and FriendZone, a series where teenagers get help from their best friends before a blind date, then reveal that the date will be between the two of them. Hopefully that last one will go better than when Jenny Jones tried it. [EW]
