Brooklyn psych-rockers Akron/Family dropped their latest full-length, the excellently titled Akron/Family II: The Cosmic Birth and Journey of Shinju TNT, back in February. Ahead of their new tour, kicking off in Seattle on Thursday, Vulture’s got the first look at the music video for Cosmic’s serene standout, “Island.” Directed by Daniel Michael Gahr, who’s also worked with Lykke Li and Death Cab for Cutie, it’s a gorgeous few minutes that runs through startling bird’s-eye views of oceans and craggy-rock beaches, to solemn scenes of public transportation and glass elevators in motion, and back again.
