Yesterday, EW quoted Will Ferrell as saying that his upcoming guest stint on The Office had turned into "a regular, full-time gig." We were pretty sure Ferrell wasn't being serious (to be fair, EW wasn't so convinced either), so we asked Office producer Paul Lieberstein (Toby!) to clear things up. He had this to say: "Will was joking — but he commits to his jokes so fully that we're hoping he's with us long term, just as a bit that won't end." So, please, continue speculating on the future, Steve Carell–replacing Office boss, but just don't consider Ferrell a viable option.
