Eminem Is Putting Out an EP With Royce da 5’9” This Summer

New music from Eminem already, and this latest release — a collaborative EP with Detroit rapper Rocye da 5’9” out June 14 via Shady Records — comes with a notable backstory: Royce and Em first worked together a decade ago as the duo Bad Meets Evil and had a song by that name on The Slim Shady LP. Eminem would go on to become a superstar; Royce would go on to have a respected indie-rap career; and somewhere in between, vague grumblings of beef were reported. That’s all in the past, though: With Royce’s group Slaughterhouse signed to Shady Records, the two old pals are back to working together as a duo. Heartwarming! And one last footnote: Royce also happens to be the rapper featured on Willa Ford’s woefully underrated 2001 smash “I Wanna Be Bad.” Remember that song?! No? [PRNewsWire]
