GLAAD Weighs In on Lil B’s I’m Gay Album Title

In response to Lil B's pot-stirring announcement of a new album called I'm Gay — which he explained in part by saying, "Some people worried about ... the definition of words and shit. First of all, gay means happy" — XXL helpfully got GLAAD to weigh in. The Alliance's opinion: "As a lyricist, Lil B knows that words matter. Slurs have the power to fuel intolerance. We hope that Lil B’s album title is not just a gimmick, and is really a sincere attempt to be an ally. He has the platform and the voice. We hope he uses it in a positive way.” Except for that part about Lil B being a "lyricist," totally seconded. [XXL via Exclaim]
