If you thought that HBO's upcoming documentary about Lady Gaga would be as poppy and riotous as one of her songs, think again. In two clips released in advance of the special, a low-key Gaga gets existential in stark black and white, vowing never to let success go to her head (she'll never forgo a walk-up apartment for one with an elevator, she claims), and, in this four-minute excerpt, breaking down backstage as she confesses, "I still sometimes feel like a loser kid in high school and I just have to pick myself up and tell myself that I'm a superstar every morning so that I can get through this day and be for my fans what they need for me to be." Weird Al, are you not moved?
