Michael Moore Says Weinstein Brothers Are ‘a Force of Good,’ Who He Also Claims Owe Him $3 Million

Michael Moore recently filed a lawsuit against Harvey and Bob Weinstein, claiming the Fahrenheit 9/11 profits were supposed to be split 50-50, but the Weinsteins used "bogus accounting methods" to funnel money to their own expenses. Now the lawsuit's heating up: "No settlement. No interest in one," Moore told the New York Post today. He now says he's owed "a minimum of $3 million." And yet, he claims it isn't personal: "Harvey and I have a lot of important history together, brothers in arms," Moore said. "He and Bob have been nothing but a force for good for indie filmmakers. I hold no ill will, and for now am just blaming all of this on accountants and business-affairs people." It seems safe to say the Weinsteins — who contend "they have paid [Moore] everything he should be paid" — will probably still not be working with Michael Moore again anytime soon. [Page Six/NYP]
