Natalie Portman Just Got a Little Less Vegan

One of Hollywood's most famous vegans — the kind who'd probably slip a copy of Jonathan Safran Foer's Eating Animals into your white elephant gift exchange — has slipped. "I actually went back to being vegetarian when I became pregnant, just because I felt like I wanted that stuff," Natalie Portman told the Q100 "Bert Show" today. "I was listening to my body to have eggs and dairy." Portman (who launched a vegan-shoe line in 2008) blamed the new development on desserts: "If you're not eating eggs, then you can't have cookies or cake from regular bakeries, which can become a problem when that's all you want to eat." It's a slippery, delicious slope to bacon-wrapped hot dogs, Natalie! (Enjoy every minute of it.) [Us]
