U2 to Make Even More Money

The band's current 360 Degrees tour has eclipsed the Rolling Stones' Bigger Bang tour, which churned up $554 million from 2005 to 2007, to become the highest-grossing tour of all time. Says U2’s manager, Paul McGuinness, modestly: “That dollar figure for the gross looks enormous! Of course I can’t tell you what the net is, but I can tell you that the band spend enormous sums on production for their audience." Still, there are 26 dates still left on the tour, and the gross is slotted to surpass $700 million. One day, Bono and the Edge will have enough money to individually pay each Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark attendee to pretend like they had a good time. [HR]
