Discovery Channel Producing ‘Insta-mentary’ on Osama

Even as Hollywood movie studios scramble to put together feature films inspired by yesterday’s takedown of Osama bin Laden, Discovery Channel is already working on an “insta-mentary” about the dramatic execution of the terrorist icon. Vulture has learned that the network is assembling an hour-long film, tentatively dubbed Killing bin Laden, that will bring to life the events surrounding the special-forces
operation. “We want to bring as much added context and in-depth historical insight to the story as we can,” Discovery president and general manager Clark Bunting told us just a few minutes ago. Look for the film to debut Sunday, May 15 at 10 p.m.
