Kathryn Bigelow’s Next Movie Is Kill Bin Laden

Or, at least, that was the plan: Despite previous word to the contrary, The Hurt Locker's director's next project is reportedly based around an early failed Black Ops mission to hunt down Bin Laden. Joel Edgerton — who recently just missed out on Bourne and Snow White and the Huntsman — is circling the film. (Also at the forefront of what will surely be a flood of Bin Laden projects is the adaptation of Gary Bernsten's 2006 book Jawbreaker, also about an attempt to capture the terrorist leader, this one from the early stages of the war in Afghanistan). So will Bigelow now be forced to adjust, or will she stick with her original vision? [Risky Business/HR, Deadline]
