Vulture Premieres the Psychedelic Poster for Magic Trip

Whatever road trip you’ve got planned for this summer, it’s nothing compared to the one Ken Kesey took in 1964, when he, Neal Cassady, and their band of Merry Pranksters dropped acid and drove cross country in a bus rigged with cameras. Decades later, documentarians Alex Gibney and Alison Ellwood found the footage and assembled it into the movie Magic Trip, an experience just as trippy (though appreciably more legal). You can get a sense of the psychedelic vibe from the movie’s poster, which Vulture is happy to premiere in advance of Magic Trip’s release on demand July 1 and its August 5 bow in theaters. Enjoy!
