As the first episode of Seasame Street’s Conversations With Bert, Andy Samberg’s interview takes a hostile tone pretty quickly. “Must we continue with this snappy comedy banter?” the puppet host asks, demonstrating the interviewing prowess of Piers Morgan and the charisma of an annoyed librarian before they both settle into an awkward silence. On the flip side, we do get to learn Andy’s favorite fabric (velour or rayon), author (Harry Potter) and imaginary means of transportation (jet pack) before the two bury their uncomfortableness in a big carton of warm milk. Somebody’s little puppet talent coordinator is going to get his ass handed to him on a platter for this.
