Hamm told TVLine that he was inspired to sit in the director’s chair after watching his co-star John Slattery helm an episode. “He handled it with such grace and ability and ease,” said Hamm. “I figured if he can do it, shit, I can do it too.” The actor will shoot the long-delayed premiere this August, and let’s hope Hamm plays to his strengths and includes a lot of acrobatic, foul-mouthed sex.
