Andrew McCarthy, former sensitive teen heartthrob, is a travel writer now (he won the 2010 Travel Journalist of the Year award!). Which means his just-announced memoir, The Longest Way Home, may not have as many stories of flirting with Molly Ringwald on set as you might like: According to the AP, McCarthy will “write about how his journeys helped him defeat his fears of love and commitment.” Hopefully this won’t take attention away from Jonathan Silverman’s just-announced memoir, The Longest Weekend at Bernie’s.
