Book Of Mormon, Other Musicals Win At The Tonys (But Mostly Book of Mormon)

Because everything Trey Parker and Matt Stone touch turns to filthy, filthy gold, it should come as no surprise that Book Of Mormon cleaned up at last night’s Tony awards. “We’d be remiss if we didn’t thank our dearly departed co-writer. The Book Of Mormon Tony wins included Best Musical, Best Original Score, Best Book Of A Musical, Best Performance by an Actress in a Featured Role in a Musical (given to Nikki M. James for her role as baptism-happy villager/love interest Nabulungi), Best Direction of a Musical, Best Orchestrations, Best Scenic Design of a Musical, Best Lighting Design of a Musical, and Best Sound Design of a Musical. War Horse also won a bunch of awards, which is funny in it’s own right. Don’t people get that it’s not a real horse?
