David O. Russell just can't stop flirting with new projects — fitting, from the man who gave us Flirting With Disaster. After toying with the video-game adaptation Uncharted: Drake's Fortune, then leaving it to commit to the Mark Wahlberg drama The Silver Linings Playbook, Russell is now considering an affair with The Mission, reports Deadline. The latter is a fast-moving Warner Bros. project about a real-life operation to save fifteen hostages from the Colombian jungle, and both Russell and Brad Pitt are circling the movie ... then again, Pitt is almost as commitment-phobic as Russell when it comes to new projects. Can these two crazy kids settle down and make it work? [Deadline]
