Bridesmaids Will Soon Be Judd Apatow’s Biggest Hit Ever

The movies directed and produced by Judd Apatow have a reputation for skewing toward men, but after this week, Apatow may find that there's more money in the ladies. That's because Bridesmaids, which was directed by Paul Feig and produced by Apatow, added over $5 million to its $146.6 million domestic haul this weekend and is now poised to surpass his biggest-ever hit, Knocked Up (at $148.6 million), in the next few days. That movie also featured Wiig — albeit in a small but scene-stealing role — so when are Apatow and Wiig going to realize that the third time may be the charm and announce their next collaboration?
