In a perfect blending of giant monsters and panicky screaming, Charlie Day entered talks for Guillermo Del Toro’s Pacific Rim, where he will of course play a professor. The film reportedly “involves mega-sized creatures that emerge from an underwater dimensional hole in the Pacific. Several affected countries team up to combat the threat with huge mechanized units, each of which require a pair of specially trained pilots.” Hopefully Charlie isn’t one of them; there’s no way anyone can huff that much glue and keep their robot-navigating faculties intact.
