Is Dave Chappelle’s New Show Headed To Netflix?

Given that the comedian reportedly bailed on his Comedy Central show out of pure frustrated misery, it makes sense that Dave Chapelle’s new show would have a more circuitous route back to the public’s eyeballs. “Dave Chappelle’s going back to TV. It’s not for a network. It’s for Netflix or Crackle or some other subscription service,” a source informed The Daily.  Opting not to work within traditional television channels could potentially be the right way to go, if it’s personal control that Chappelle is looking for. Nor is the idea completely novel; Netflix recently signed David Fincher’s House of Cards, while Crackle offers web series “Groundlings” and “Backwash,” the latter featuring Jon Hamm. Alternately, Chappelle can project it onto the side of his garage. Whatever it takes! Let’s just do this, Dave. It’s time.
