Watch a Tense, Exclusive Clip From the Home-Invasion Thriller Kidnapped

Miguel Angel Vivas's Spanish thriller Kidnapped borrows its stylistic calling card from Alfred Hitchcock's classic Rope: The movie is composed of a dozen or so long takes, letting tension build over real time (as in this exclusive clip from one high-tension sequence that Vulture is premiering). Still, Rope was never as harrowing as Vivas's film, which finds a married couple and their teenage daughter struggling to withstand a home invasion by three masked men. The movie opens today at the reRun Gastropub in Brooklyn, but it's also available nationwide on demand via the IFC Midnight VOD platform, if you'd like to heighten the experience of getting freaked out in the ostensible safety of your own home.
