Ryan Murphy has previously hinted at it, but now it's confirmed: After the upcoming third season, the Glee kids will graduate from McKinley High. Murphy explained his reasoning on Ryan Seacrest's radio show: "We didn’t want to have a show where they were in high school for eight years. We really wanted it to be true to that experience. We thought it would be really cool if we were true to the timeline ... I don't think of it in terms of eliminating or replacing because I think the thing about this cast is people love them and they are incredibly talented. They’ve left sort of an indelible mark." (Chord Overstreet's character, who's a year younger than everyone else, will presumably get another year to make his mark even more indelible.) It's a bold move, and Vulture salutes it: not only could it goose up the show, British Skins–style, but these damn kids gotta grow up sometime. [Ministry of Gossip/LAT]
