Alia Shawkat Is The Sassy Best Friend In The Brass Teapot, He Loves Me

Because you can’t eat or live inside promises of an Arrested Development movie, Alia Shawkat went ahead and joined the cast of He Loves Me and The Brass Teapot. The dark comedy Teapot stars Juno Temple and Michael Angarano as “a broke young couple who steal a brass teapot that produces cash whenever someone feels pain.” Alia plays Temple’s friend Louis, who I can only hope starts wielding a crowbar in an attempt to get rich quick.

Meanwhile, He Loves Me stars Paul Dano as “a once-great novelist who’s creativity is blocked due to heartache and loneliness,” who magically writes his fantasy girl (Zoe Kazan) to life. Shawkat co-stars as Mabel, “a cute hipster who has a crush on Dano’s character and is obsessed with one of his literary creations,” who I can only hope to God starts wielding a crowbar in an attempt to get rich quick (oh, and to make Paul Dano fall in love with her).
