Amy Winehouse’s Funeral Was Held This Morning

Flowers, pictures and messages are left in tribute to late soul music and pop star Amy Winehouse, near the house in north London where her body was found the previous day, on July 24, 2011. Soon after the 27-year-old songstress's death was announced on July 23, fans started gathering in Camden Square, north London, to bid farewell to a star whose songs often reflected her tempestuous lifestyle. A private funeral ceremony was held this morning in north London's Edgwarebury Cemetery for Amy Winehouse. In attendance were family and friends, including Kelly Osbourne and Winehouse's former producer Mark Ronson. According to the AP, "The service was expected to be followed by cremation and a family gathering at a local synagogue." Also, an autopsy held Monday did not determine the cause of death and police are now waiting (roughly two to four weeks) for the results of the toxicology reports. [AP]
