Beyoncé’s Dad Stole From Her, Claims Live Nation

GLASTONBURY, ENGLAND - JUNE 26: Beyonce headlines the Pyramid Stage at the Glastonbury Festival at Worthy Farm, Pilton on June 26, 2011 in Glastonbury, England. The festival, which started in 1970 when several hundred hippies paid 1 GBP to attend, has grown into Europe's largest music festival attracting more than 175,000 people over five days. When Beyoncé announced in March that her father, Matthew Knowles, would no longer serve as her manager, the two parted ways with an amicable public statement and little explanation of what had led to the decision. A new legal paper filed by Knowles, however, has blown the matter wide open: Early this year, Live Nation informed Beyoncé that her father had stolen money from her during her previous tour, according to documents obtained by TMZ. Beyoncé then requested that her law firm conduct an audit of her father, and when they, too, found evidence of wrongdoing, she fired him. Knowles claims he didn't steal anything and has filed papers to depose Live Nation staffers about the matter, but in so doing, he inadvertently brought the accusations into the light. Whoops! [TMZ]
