As previously established, post-Voice Blake Shelton is now approved for all non-country audiences. But really driving the point home: Shelton's latest album, Red River Blue, has debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200, with 116,000 units sold, his best sales week ever. This is pretty nuts, because Blakey has been releasing albums since 2001, way before the record industry fully and completely destructed; also, he's been releasing albums of country music, one of the aforementioned destructed music industry's last few bastions of solid sales. All hail the power of The Voice! All hail Blake Shelton! [Billboard]
