Feist is back! The Canadian singer-songwriter hasn’t been heard from much — outside of a few appearances on projects by her crew, Broken Social Scene, and its extended family — since busting out with 2007’s The Reminder and its iPod-commercial-boosted single “1234,” but she’s just announced a new release: Metals, her fifth solo album, will be out October 4.
