Game of Thrones has added two important new players to its second season. EW reports that Stephen Dillane will play Stannis Baratheon, the brother of the late King Robert, while Carice van Houten has been cast as the seductive Melisandre, a prophetic zealot who’s got Stannis’s ear. Dillane’s best known for John Adams and The Hours, while van Houten first captured U.S. attention as the frequently unclothed protagonist of Paul Verhoeven’s Black Book, which means that she ought to be more than up to the task of delivering the show’s trademark sexposition.
