Helena Bonham Carter Hops on The Lone Ranger

Though we liked Helena Bonham Carter just fine as the straitlaced queen in The King's Speech, we always prefer her a bit mussed and wild, and so we're pleased with the new projects that Carter has been picking: crazy spinster Miss Havisham in an upcoming adaptation of Great Expectations, and now, Variety reports, "the colorful madam of a local brothel" in the Johnny Depp-toplined The Lone Ranger. (Think of the costumes!) Also joining the cast are Dwight Yoakam as the movie's villain, as well as Barry Pepper and Rubicon star James Badge Dale. Still, we bet their hairstyles won't be nearly as interesting. [Variety]
