After the runaway success of Bridesmaids, we've heard about plenty of new projects the movie's stars, including Melissa McCarthy and Chris O'Dowd, are lining up, but not a peep from its lead actress, Kristen Wiig. Now, though, Variety reports that Wiig is using her newfound clout to push forward her passion project, Imogene, where she'll star as a playwright who fakes suicide to win back her ex, only to find that she's then in the custody of her gambling-addicted mother once again. American Splendor directors Shari Springer Berman and Robert Pulcini will helm the project, which will shoot in August before Wiig resumes her duties on Saturday Night Live. [Variety]
