Netflix Expanding to Latin America

Netflix is expanding its streaming services to Mexico and 42 other countries in Central and South America and the Caribbean, the company announced today. The mail-order DVDs will still be U.S.-only, but this marks the first international expansion since Canadians were welcomed into the instant-viewing fold last fall. Netflix didn't specify an exact launch date or how it's wrangling licensing agreements, nor did the company mention a plan to compensate for Latin America's lagging broadband penetration. [Yahoo]
