Netflix Will Restrict DVD Access for Streaming Customers

Netflix's streaming-video service has taken off like a rocket, but there are still plenty of titles that aren't available to watch instantly. Previously, you could supplement your streaming price plan with the option to rent one of those elusive DVDs at a time, but Netflix announced today that it will phase out that $9.99 plan and encourage users to choose a $7.99-per-month agreement that offers either unlimited streaming or one DVD out at a time, but not both. If you do want to take advantage of both formats, you'll have to pay extra, since Netflix is now going to charge $15.98 per month for the combination plan. [Coming Soon]
