Paul Feig in Talks for Bridget Jones Sequel

Flush with the success of Bridesmaids, director Paul Feig has been teasing his next project, claiming to Moviehole that it's "a sequel to a movie that people know, but I can’t really talk about it yet." British columnist Baz Bamingoye, however, has let the cat out of the bag: Feig is in early talks to helm the third Bridget Jones movie. Bamingoye cautioned that no actors deals are yet set for the film, which would follow Bridget on a path to pregnancy. But when you start transposing the Bridesmaids characters over Bridget Jones — both feature a hapless heroine, sexed up by an asshole, who deals with "smug marrieds" while slowly falling for the patient nice guy — it does make a certain amount of sense.
