When you get sick of insulting your friends in your home country, the next logical step is to head to Italy and insult them there. Hey, it worked for Jersey Shore! Now it’s the plan for The Trip. Michael Winterbottom’s six-part series/movie featuring Steve Coogan and Rob Brydon bickering throughout the north of England turned out to be something of a hit due to it being truly great, and now they’re prepping a sequel that’ll send the two frenemies to Italy. It’ll be another series, one that may or may not be cut into a movie for American audiences like the first one was. Hell, I say air the series here in the States. IFC, are you listening? This is square in your wheelhouse. Get on it.
