Before there was a Tales From the Crypt TV show scaring the piss out of everyone rich enough to afford HBO in the nineties, there was a Tales From the Crypt comic book. Now that comic book is being developed into a TV show by the original show’s producer, Gil Adler, and Eureka creator Andrew Cosby. This version won’t be an anthology or have much at all to do with the first. Instead it’ll be serialized and use “characters from the comic books in a more modern context.” As long as the cryptkeeper is involved, we don’t really care what it looks like. As for casting, well, they better call Raiders owner Al Davis right now. [Deadline]
