Woody Allen’s Midnight in Paris His Biggest Hit Yet

As of Friday, Midnight in Paris — starring Owen Wilson and Rachel McAdams — has earned $40.4 million, besting Woody Allen's previous directorial blockbuster, 1986's Hannah and Her Sisters, which earned just over $40 million. Except the comparison by The Hollywood Reporter doesn't take inflation into account, so technically Hannah and Her Sisters's earned over $80 million (in 2011 dollars). Still, the critical success and respectable box-office take for Woody Allen's latest film is a rather good indicator that his 45-year-plus directing career has a few good moving pictures left in it.
