Nigel Lythgoe has yet another singing show in the works, this time at the CW. The potential series, still in its very nascent stages, would “focus on finding the next big family singing group,” according to TV Guide. One wonders what the last big family singing group was! Just because Emma Stone was on that Search for the New Partridge Family show a few years ago doesn’t make that show a success. The would-be series isn’t a done deal yet, but it does fit with CW’s announcement at TCAs that the network was looking for a reality contest show about singing.
