When the Long Island music festival Escape to New York was announced, Vulture wondered if it could replace the moribund All Points West as the big, ambitious festival the New York–area is seemingly not allowed to have. Well, that dream just took a hit: Escape to New York, which went down this weekend, suffered such heavy rains it was forced to cancel its last day (shades of Field Day). Meanwhile, another new Long Island festival, Music to Know, was supposed to take place this coming weekend but ended up being canceled altogether because of poor ticket sales.
