Face-tattooed Compton rapper Game appeared on CNN yesterday to apologize for sending a tweet that tied up an L.A. sheriff phone line last weekend. The tweet, he said, was a “joke gone wrong” and the result of a friend blasting out random phone numbers on Game’s Twitter account. The apology led the LASD, which had said it would recommend criminal charges to the district attorney, to announce it would close the criminal investigation. It also led Game to scrap plans to write a song called “Twitter Was the Case.” [CNN]
