Here's how long it's been since Hype Williams, onetime undisputed heavyweight champion of the rap music video, made Belly, his awesome-looking if not totally cohesive first feature film: the movie co-starred DMX. Well, Hype's now heading back to the big screen with Lust, a Basic Instinct–type thriller written by Joe Eszterhas, the guy who wrote Basic Instinct. The details of the plot aren't exactly clear, but there is a love triangle of some sort between a "young playboy," an older magazine publisher, and the older magazine publisher's spouse. Despite the decade-plus wait between projects, this is actually good timing for Hype: The recently imprisoned DMX is now free and ready to act. [Movieline]
