Ridley Scott Is Making a New Blade Runner

At Comic-Con, much was made about the fact that with Prometheus, his kinda-sorta-but-not-really prequel to Alien, Ridley Scott was returning to the world of sci-fi for the first time in decades — and apparently, it stuck. Deadline reports that Scott just signed on to make a new version of his 1982 film Blade Runner, though whether it's a sequel or a remake is still unknown. (Either one would be both exciting and worrying in equal measure!) Ridley, here's some real talk: There are other sci-fi movies besides the ones you've already made. Maybe direct some of those! Although, who are we fooling, because we are writing this post from the front of a line that we have formed for both these movies. Maybe just send pizza? [Deadline]
