Forget all the sixties-set dramas on TV like Mad Men, The Hour, The Playboy Club, and Pan Am: It's time for a little bit of eighties nostalgia. Deadline reports that NBC has made a pilot commitment to a drama set in the golden age of wrestling that will be produced by Dwayne "the Rock" Johnson and Jerry Bruckheimer. That era of televised wrestling bouts gave birth to stars like Hulk Hogan and Randy "Macho Man" Savage, but the fictionalized NBC pilot will create characters of its own. Still, can they get WWE-adjacent wrestling fan Snooki in there somehow? [Deadline]
