The Hunger Games Trailer Premieres at the VMAs

For those who passed out upon Beyoncé's pre-VMA pregnancy announcement and missed the entire ceremony: The show featured a first look at Gary Ross's Hunger Games adaptation of Suzanne Collins's science fiction trilogy. The teaser trailer is quite short — less than a minute — and mostly consists of a bow-and-arrow-toting Jennifer Lawrence dodging fireballs as she makes her increasingly hurried way through a forest, with a closing shot of the actress taking aim at the film's flaming crane logo. So, not much, but devoted fans of the culty books will surely find some nits to pick.
