Wilde Salome Trailer: Al Pacino’s Love Affair With Oscar Wilde

Before we get Al Pacino in full wiggy bloom as Phil Spector in next year's HBO biopic, the actor has a very meta project for us: Wilde Salome, a movie about a movie about a play. You see, while Pacino was playing King Herod in a 2006 stage production of Oscar Wilde's Salome (alongside a then-unknown Jessica Chastain), he decided to make a movie version of the production ... then he decided to make a movie about the making of his movie. The result is a thorough investigation of Wilde's Salome, as well as a vehicle for Pacino to express his longtime passion for the famed British writer. It's also a collection of enjoyable Pacino frazzle-faces, if this trailer is any indication.
