Jessica Chastain is on quite the hot streak. Tree of Life, The Help, The Debt, Mama, Texas Killing Fields, and now this: She’s been cast as Tom Cruise’s girlfriend in the upcoming sci-fi movie formerly known as Oblivion. The movie, from Tron Legacy director Joseph Kosinski, is set in a bleak future, when Earth’s surface is no longer inhabitable for humans, who thus head upwards and live above the clouds while robots fend off alien forces below. Cruise will play a robot-repairman who falls for a mysterious woman, and Chastain will play his scorned longtime partner. Tom Cruise, aliens, gaggles of newly famous women — did L.
