Last night, at a record release party for the band Freesol at his restaurant in NYC, Justin Timberlake grabbed a mike and ... sang something. In the video, you can see him singing "Say yeah ... Say yeah yeah ... Say yeah yeah yeah ... Say oh hell yeah ... Say you don't give a fuck ... " but he also did a longer set, including a version of "What Goes Around Comes Around," guitar playing, and what People is calling a new song with the chorus "Your body's like a fast car/I've got the keys." A new song?! Miracle of miracles. Timberlake, who will be performing tomorrow at Irving Plaza for Freesol, has been on an indefinite hiatus from music while he focuses on being a serious actor, basically only sings now when he's promoting his acting career, making a joke, or reminding all the people who prefer him in his musical incarnation that, in the words of Drake, "he's doing me" now. The clip from last night — which we're linking to until the video becomes embeddable — does demonstrate that Timberlake still has swaggerific mike-holding technique though.
