Radiohead to Play Not Playing for Occupy Wall Street This Afternoon [Updated]

The protesters’ official site just confirmed a flurry of online rumors that Thom Yorke and company will do an impromptu show for all the young people who’ve been hanging down at Liberty Plaza for the last two weeks. The concert is supposed to start at 4 p.m., leaving you a few hours to make a sign so it doesn’t look like you joined the demonstrations just to see Radiohead. Hurry though; there will surely be a throng of fans who are still mad they didn’t make it into the Roseland shows. UPDATE: And according to a WSJ Tweet, Radiohead’s people say “it’s not happening.” UPDATE 2: From a post on Radiohead’s Facebook page: “We wish the best of luck to the protesters there, but contrary to earlier rumours, we will not be appearing today at Occupy Wall Street.” [Occupy Wall Street]
