Sean Hayes hasn't appeared much on TV since Will & Grace wrapped its NBC run five years ago last May, focusing mainly on a few Broadway appearances and some movie work (including 2008's The Bucket List). But it looks like the small screen hiatus is over: NBC last month said it was developing a half-hour sitcom for Hayes. And now, Vulture has learned, Hayes has booked a guest spot on the upcoming third season of TV Land's Betty White-powered hit Hot In Cleveland. He'll play a hand model who just might end up as a love interest for one of the show's female leads. Landing the role probably wasn't too tough: For one thing, Hot has become something of a self-contained stimulus program for ex-sitcom stars, welcoming Mindy Cohn, Wayne Knight, John Mahoney, and Doris Roberts in recent months. And then there's this: Hayes happens to be an executive producer of Hot via his HazyMills production banner. There's no airdate yet for his episode, but Hot will begin its third season on Nov. 30 at 10 p.m.
