ABC Puts the Bitch Back in Apartment 23

DON'T TRUST THE B---- IN APARTMENT 23 - After a na?ve Midwestern girl's big city dreams are dashed her first week in New York, she finds herself living with her worst nightmare in this hilarious, contemporary comedy about a female odd couple who are surrounded by an outrageous cast of characters. "Don't Trust the B---- in Apartment 23" stars Krysten Ritter ("Breaking Bad," "Gilmore Girls") as Chloe, Dreama Walker ("The Good Wife," "Gossip Girl") as June, Eric Andr? as Mark, Michael Blaiklock as Eli and James Van Der Beek ("Varsity Blues," "Dawson's Creek") as James Van Der Beek. Created and written by Nahnatchka Kahn ("American Dad"), "Don't Trust the B---- in Apartment 23" is executive-produced by Kahn, Jason Winer ("Modern Family"), Dave Hemingson ("American Dad," "How I Met Your Mother") and Jeff Morton ("Modern Family"). Winer is also the director. "Don't Trust the B---- in Apartment 23" is a production of 20th Century Fox Television. Apartment 23's title is now back to Don't Trust the B---- in Apartment 23 — and those dashes in bitch are ABC's, not ours. That's called "having it both ways," ABC! Being puritanical enough to dash it out, but naughty enough to make it a title? It's $#*! My Dad Says all over again, except 23 has James Van Der Beek. (And a much, much better show: Krysten Ritter stars as the titular B, who scandalizes her new corn-fed neighbor.) It's hard to tell whether ABC is just trying to avoid Cougar Town–ing a whole other series, or if this is just a ploy to keep everyone aware that they do indeed have some mid-season shows that can handily swoop in and remove all memory of Charlie's Angels.
